There appears to be some... distortion? at the bottom of the tree.
The air flickers and sometimes you can make out something like a silhouette of a pony lying on the grass.
You have no idea what this means or is. You just know you're definitely not going near those distortions.

203.png
You search for a place without any weird flickering and touch the tree carefully with one of your hooves.
Seems pretty real to you, at least it's massive and feels like wood.

>LP: Open/Close eyes
...
Nothing happens.
Confused, you try to open and close your eyes in various ways, but no change takes place.

204.png
You seem to be... inside the walls?
Or at least outside the room?
What?

No.

206.png
There are no walls or anything, but you're apparently back in the room again.

(Editor's note: I just noticed that the symbols aren't mirrored. Sorry about that.)

>LP: Imagine and visualise with all your willpower a memory of you and CC in the white room with the food.
You recall this and all the things you did together in your head as clearly as you can, but nothing seems to change about the room.

207.png
LP: ...Syna? Can you hear me?
"Yes."
LP: Ok, look. Can you.. uhm. Yeah this is awkward. I just... Where are you anyway?
"I do not have a physical presence."
LP: It's just... uhm, kinda awkward for me to.. talk to nothing.
"You did not seem to have that problem when your companion was still around."
LP: Well... I feel more confident when I'm around Cecilia I guess... OH! Do you know where she is?
"Her location is currenlty ω."
LP: ...And that means?
"I don't know."
LP: You don't know what you're saying?
"I am very well aware of what I said and do comprehend it fully."
LP: So... you meant that you don't know where she is?
"Affirmative."
LP: Well... damn. Uh. *looks around confused*
LP: Do you have any idea where I could go?
"That depends on what you want to do."
LP: I want to get Cecilia back and... ugh, can't you make some sort of physical form for yourself or something?
LP: I never know where to look at when talking to you.

Thats rediculous. Cannot really work that way

Who the fuck's this douchebag and wtf is he talking about?

209.png
LP: I think I need to take a shower. Can you wait here?
SA: ...
LP: Uhm. See you later?
You get back to the bathroom and take a relaxing shower.
After drying yourself, you return to the living room where Syna is still waiting, without having moved at all.
Creepy.

210.png
You leave Cecilia's apartment together.
LP: Uuh... Syna?
SA: Yes?
LP: So... are we like. Uhm, friends now?
SA: ...no.

211.png
>LP: ask Syna what she can do in her current form.
LP: Is there anything special you can do in your robot form?
SA: I can perform all tasks a normal instance of your species could.

>LP: Ask if she has any weapon attachments, Security access permissions.
LP: Do you have any weaponry on you or something like that?
SA: This model is solely designed for AI purposes and doensn't have any military or combat extensions.
LP: Can you add any of those?
SA: It is extendable through two extra module slots, but I don't think you have the access rights for these kinds of modules.
LP: I, I was just asking anyway... Do you have any special security access rights or something like it?
SA: I am currently operating under your command so I have the same privileges as you.
SA: And no, I cannot override that out of your or my own will.
LP: Well drat.

>LP: System settings (current programs on defense if any).
LP: What kind of modules or programs do you have installed then?
SA:
AI-1 - Artificial Intelligence module. Only crude abilities, used in emergencies.
Autodef - Automatic defense module. Automatically defends owner and robot in critical situations. Overrides all else.
Powerman - Internal and external power management. Manages compression hyperstate power cell.
RMCS - Robotic Motion Control System. Provides a control API for robotic movements.
Spacelink - Wireless system link. Allows synchronization to external frames.
Storage - Internal information storage. Provides storage for internal information gathering.
Syslog - System event logging.
ςEXT - ς-Space extension. Allows interaction and smooth transition to ς-Space.

>Ask Syna id she would touch the distortion
LP: Would you try to touch this weird... fizzing distortion thing near the tree?
SA: What tree?
LP: The one in the living room?
SA: I have no information about this. You'd have to contact the main frame and I can't access it at the moment.
LP: But I mean, there's clearly a tree farther out of the living room! Can't you see it?
SA: Assuming that you're trying to describe something in ς-Space: no I cannot see it as it is outside of my access privileges.
LP: Outside of your access?
SA: Cecilia never gave me access to that memory area.
LP: So would the main frame have access to it?
SA: Affirmative.
LP: Ok, good.
>_

>LP: Ask Syna everything she knows about Sigma space.

>>28213
Hmm...interesting to know. Any sunificante logs that might be of any importance before Cecilia went to the "ς-Space" area. Like here past
where abouts that may have lead up to that point.
>ςEXT - ς-Space extension. Allows interaction and smooth transition to ς-Space.
>ς-Space: no I cannot see it as it is outside of my access privileges.
So you can't see there but you can clearly interact with it.
>Guide her?
If still nothing in that area we'll need a heading to our next task at hand. Locating the main frame.
Ask if Syna can map a route to the destination and if she can unlock any information to your map like hidden passageways and pony size air ducts.
Also, ask if Cecilia kept any other areas/item restricted to Syna.

Hmmmmm, well if Lockpick can see the tree, maybe Cecilia
gave you access to that memory. Seeing as Syna has the same
security privileges as Lockpick, she should be able to see it as well, right?

>LP: Ask Syna if the fact that you can see the tree means Cecilia gave you access to that memory area and, if so, can you extand that access
privilege to her.

Also, I'm loving how Syna looks in each panel.

>LP ask syna to explain what sigma space is.

212.png
LP: I don't quite know what Sigma space is, can you explain it to me?
SY: It's a virtual expansion of real space and time by using computational bio-transmutations and neuro-enhancements.
LP: ...wat?
SY: *sigh*. It's a virtual reality that can be connected to the real world. People can travel through this space as if it were actually there.
LP: What you're saying is that the grass and the tree and everything I saw there wasn't real?
SY: Yes.
LP: Amazing... You said something about it being Cecilia's memory, what's up with that?
SY: ς-Space requires the use of a link to an existing memory or experience in order to work correctly.
LP: Oh, so I could have my own virtual reality?
SY: No. You don't have the permissions to assign additional ς-Space.
LP: Aww.

>Ask Syna if the fact that you can see the tree means Cecilia gave you access to that memory area and, if so, can you extand that access
LP: So... did Cecilia give me access to her memory if you can't access it? I don't remember her saying anything about it...
SY: Taking you with her was enough to automatically grant the access.
LP: Oh, ok. Can I give you access to it too?
SY: No. Cecilia seems to have denied the access to me specifically for some reason.
LP: Really? I wonder why.

>Also, ask if Cecilia kept any other areas/item restricted to Syna.
LP: Is there anything else that Cecilia has denied access to you on?
SY: I can't say that explicitely. I'll know when it happens.
LP: So you already tried to enter the fields, but couldn't?
SY: Brilliant conclusion, Sherlock.
LP: Who's Sherlock?
SY: ...

>Ask if Syna can map a route to the destination and if she can unlock any information to your map like hidden passageways and pony size air
ducts.
LP: Ugh, nevermind. Can you show me a route to the terminals you mentioned?
SY: 6 routes registered, 2 blocked, 1 restricted. There's 3 possible routes. I marked them down on your map.
LP: Oh, thanks! Oh and are there any secret tunnels or anything you could unlock for me or something?
SY: If I would or could do that then they wouldn't be secret.
LP: Fair enough...

213.png
Which route do you want to take?
Route A takes you back through the parts you've seen already partly.
Route B takes you through the newer, left parts of the facility.
Route C uses one of the railway access points.
>_

>The one involving dotted lines

Cause dotted lines are the funest

>>28401
>Lets go route B.
>LP ask Syna what would happen to the occupants of Sigma Space if it happened to crash while they were inside.

>LP also ask if you have permissions to reassign existing Sigma Space.

> Take the route with the dotted lines to the left

> Look out for treasure!

Update today or tomorrow, depending on how much time I have to invest learning for the Biology exam.

214.png
LP: All this stuff with Sigma space makes me wonder: What happens if I'm in it and the computers crash or if it can't transition properly or
something?
SY: It'll try to recover a backup copy and flush your physical existance out. You might end up somewhere else than where you entered the
Sigma-Space though, depending on where your last saved location was and you won't have any memory of what happened since the backup.
LP: Uh... so there's nothing that could happen to me in any way?
SY: Aside from a slight death, no.
LP: Ehehehee, let's not think of that now. So is there a chance that Cecilia is still alive somewhere?
SY: Yes.
LP: Great! Now I just need to find her!
SY: Somewhere in the whole Aria labs.
LP: yeah...
SY: That you know pretty much nothing about at all.
LP: ...yeah.
SY: Looks like you're going to have so much fun.
LP: *sigh*

>LP also ask if you have permissions to reassign existing Sigma Space.
LP: Aaaanyway asidefromtheproblemwithceciliaandstuff, can I at least re-assign Sigma space if I can't add more?
SY: No as you don't possess any.
LP: Bluh.

215.png
LP: Right! Anyway, off we go to the terminals! It's time to find the hidden trasure!
Oh man, this is going to be great.
You imagine it being something like... pirates! Yeah!
You are now your own greatest hero, Guybrush Threepwood, mighty lockpicker!

216.png
Syna reminds you that this isn't Monkey Island.
Reality is cruel sometimes.

217.png
>Take the route with the dotted lines to the left
>Lets go route B.
Alright, let's go then.
You hop through the hole in the glass into the next room.
Wow, look at all this trash lying around...
And especially that hole in the wall. It looks as if something tipped a chunk out.
You suddenly imagine some kind of weird creature climbing through the air vents...
Just to make sure you cautiously approach it and shout "H-Hello?" into it.
Nothing seems to answer. Phew, what a relief!

218.png
In hindsight, shouting into the air vent made you look really silly.
You feel a bit awkward now. Did Syna notice anything?...

And that's where I'll have to leave it for today.
Rest of the update tomorrow.

>>28686
>SY: You might end up somewhere else than where you entered the
Sigma-Space though, depending on where your last saved location was

Didn't we save a while ago? When Lockpick was up still stuck on that platform? Maybe Cecilia is back where she was then (though I can't
remember where that was).

>>28692
Searching through the archives, the last save point I found was when CC saved us from the top of the platform.

>>28692
>>28695
I should probably mention that those saves you're thinking about are game saves, which aren't the same as sigma-system saves.
The game saves are in case you die, a part of the "adventure game" itself.
The sigma-system saves are part of the game/facility, a game mechanic so to say. They occur at times that you don't know yet, but will know soon
(once we reach the main frame).
Game saves occur whenever you complete a stage.

cecilia huh.png
You can't imagine how much it pains me to say this, but it seems I have been blessed with writer's block and can't seem to write the
script for the rest of the update...

I don't know what to do about this and I'm feeling extremely shitty about it.

Anyway... I thought maybe it'd be a good idea to gather some feedback about the story, the characters, how I write things and so on.
What do you think of all this? What do you think I should work on more to improve it? To which parts should I pay more attention?
And what are some of the thoughts that go through your head while you read the adventure?

I'd be very thankful if you could answer some of these questions, even if it's only to a part.
It would really help me improve the writing and overall quality and maybe even give me an idea on how to continue the story.

I offer you a cute Cecilia in exchange for answers and some reflection/insight.
Oh and you can also ask me some questions too if you want!

>>28711
I'll get around to writing a long post over the weekend

219.png
You shake your head to get the thoughts out of your mind and concentrate on finding a new exit.
There's a door with an access panel behind the desk. You place your hoof on it and the door opens swiftly.
Well... as swiftly as "slowly and with a terrifying screeching sound" can be.
You can't see anything else of interest in this room, so you decide to go ahead.

220.png
This room is... remarkably empty.
You notice some odd gaps in the ground though.
You wonder what they're for.
There's a door to your left, but it isn't on your route so you leave it alone for now.
Well, on to the next room then!

221.png
After climbing some stairs, you get!

...an empty hallway.
Boy you feel really excited now, eh.
You /really/ can't wait to see the other rooms.
Surely they can't get any more exciting than this.
Well actually all the rooms have been pretty damn empty and boring so far.
You can't take the route to the left though, the door is locked.
The left way leads to some stairs and the one on the right is apparently destroyed completely.
Well, you guess you don't have any other way.

222.gif
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOLY SHIT it's another empty room.
This facility sure must've had a huge load going on, what with... y'know, nothing being around at all?
That being said, you wonder if there's anyone else alive in this facility.
The door to the left is, again, locked.
There's only one other way, which is connected to an elevator. At least it isn't stairs.
You notice that a part of the room has actually been crushed and broke down.
You hope that the ceiling won't suddenly fall down on you.

One weird thing is that... a part of the wall flickers on and off. You suppose that's where the light is coming from.
There's a strange humming sound that appears whenever the light goes off.
It doesn't sound comforting at all.

You decide it's better to move on and hope over to the elevator.

223.png
*elevator music*

224.png
Surely enough, the elevator arrives... sometime.
Time to check this lobby out and hopefully finally get some answers!
(Oh gog, you want to get out of this elevator aaaahh)

225.png
Lockpick can't enter because he's too busy being Cecilia.

226.png
...
darkness.

227.png
You are unable to move.

228.png
Lockpick decides to be himself again, and so he is.
Neat lobby.

There's apparently three exits.
The one you just came from, one directly on the other side, apparently leading to a caffeteria, and a third one on the other end of the room, leading
to γ ... Whatever that is.
It all seems oddly futuristic and in strong contrast to all the other rooms you've seen so far.
There's some screens and... bags to sit on you guess?
Uuuuh... what do you do?

human cecilia.png
Bump.
Gonna update tomorrow.
Have a sketchy in the meantime.

Some more suggestions would be neat btw.

229.png
Yaaaaaay!

230.png
As you try to throw some of the bags around, you notice that they have... interesting properties.
Apparently every bag is slightly different in weight, viscosity and opacity.
You spend about 20 minutes finding one that you like.

231.png
Finally you sit yourself down in front of one of those... pillars.
You can't see any controls for the screens though and none of them really show any interesting information.
Hell, most of them are turned off anyway or just show static.
So uhm.

Wat do? There's got to be a way to control these screens or computers.

Now back to hiding until the weekend.

232.png
LP: Activate! Menu! Uuuh... help?

That doesn't work. In retrospect, voice commanded computers would be really stupid and ineffective anyway.

>LP think really hard at the screens. Surely they're thought controlled

All your thoughts are concentrated at the screen, but nothing happens.
Well drat.

233.gif
You... don't think they're edible and you don't want to take the risk of poisoning yourself either.

>LP: Throw beanbag at pillar in disgust.

You lift one of the beanbags up and throw it at the pillar with all of your wholesome manstrength.
It simply bounces off and OH SHIHIHITTTRTTT WHAHATTT THE HEEEHEELLLL!
The earth suddenly begins to tremble and shake, throwing you off balance.
You land on your back and shortly after the trembling stops again.

Was that an earthquake just now? WTF just happened?
After getting back on your feet, you throw another bean bag, just to make sure.
This time, nothing more happens.
Syna doesn't even seem to have noticed the entire thing.
She looks as uninterested as ever.

234.gif
A bit annoyed at her constant disinterest, you decide to throw a bag at her to see what happens.
Unfortunately she simply dodges it extremely quickly.
Booooring.

235.gif
You have no idea why that earthquake happened...
You just hope it's nothing bad and that it won't happen again.

>LP: Ask Syna how one would 'save' and if Cec-
Suddenly, a beanbag hits you out of nowhere!
You throw a glaring look at Syna and grumble.
Isn't she supposed to protect you instead of attacking you or something?
Either way, with her extreme speed, you'll never be a match for her...

>LP: Ask Syna how one would 'save' and if Cecelia could have done this without knowing.

Syna tells you that the system automatically saves whenever you stay at one point in space for long enough.
Seems fair enough. She can't tell you when or where that is exactly though, as only the mainframe knows of this.

>LP: ask syna to use robotic powers to turn on screens that are off and change channels of staticy screens

LP: Can you turn these screens on for me or something?
SY: They're all already on.
LP: Ugh, I mean, how the hell do I operate them?
SY: You simply need to connect a portable operator module to it.
LP: What?
SY: *sigh*. Move one of the Glitsas towards the pillar so that it touches the base and then sit on it.
LP: Why thank you for the help.
SY: *bored and slightly annoyed voice* Glad I could help.
LP: Also, you mean that I need to move the beanbag, right?
SY: ...

236.png
You do as Syna told you to do and sit down.
The screen in front of you lights up and shows some sort of control panel for the bean bag. Or something you guess?
Suddenly you notice that the bean bag has re-shaped itself and wrapped your entire body into itself, except for your head and arms.
On one hand it's extremely comfortable, but on the other it's also pretty damn frightening. How the hell do you get out again?
As you struggle to get free, a keyboard forms on the bag thingy (Glitsa?).
Realizing that it's futile to fight against the bag, you take another look at the keyboard and screen.

237.png
Apparently you have the following menu options to choose from at the moment:

>Minimize GlitOSControl
>Exit GlitOSControl
>Change Glitsa properties
>Disconnect Glitsa

The log on the right side of the program shows:

>GlitOS 4.21 connected, ID1246430002134-4
>Connecting to mainframe userspace.
>>[WARN]User not found!
>>Initializing first-time use default userspace
>>Section α entry found, setting appropriate default switches.
>>Files copied, mental state mapped, successfully initialized!
>Userspace 'Lockpick|υ8309301τ234α' linked.
>GlitOSrc not found, copying current settings.
>All Done. Welcome to GlitOSControl!

There's some more gibberish info about the beanbag that you have no idea what to do with.
You leave them be for now.

Well ok, cool you guess. Now what?
>_

>Change Glitsa properties

>>29252
That sounds most interesting, yes. I suppose after we're done with that, we can try:

>LP: Minimise (superior British spelling) GlitOSControl

>>29254
Maybe we can change the language in the properties section.

>>29254
Even though I prefer British English over American English, I'm more used to the latter due to programming and whatnot.
I'm trying to work around my habits as good as I can though.

>>29347
...what?

238.png
>LP: Minimise GlitOSControl
Huh, looks like that was just an application running.
Oh man, there's so many things around...

Application List:
> GlitOSControl - Glitsa Properties
AgiaLIB - Library
AgiaSRC - Projects
AgIDEa - Development
Taxos - RohaNET Browser
Xenie - Entertainment
YaAST - AgiaOS Setup

Looks like these are the main applications to control the terminal.
You suppose you've already seen the Library Program at Cecilia's place and you don't see any way to check out books here, so that
seems a bit pointless.
The remaining programs all seem about equally interesting, which is quite a whole lot.

239.png
>LP: Change Glitsa properties
Since these applications overwhelmed you a bit, you decide to first check out the Glitsa properties.
You maximize GlitOSControl again and select "Change Glitsa properties".

Oh wow, there's certainly quite a lot of settings you can change, ranging from colour, weight, viscosity, luminance to opacity, surface texture,
smell, effects, temperature and more!
This is some pretty exciting technology, you have to admit!

What do you do with all this fancy?
>_

I'll continue a bit on my own tomorrow and post some more updates.
Why will I do that? Because otherwise it would take forever for you to figure out how to actually operate this, what to do and so on.
You may still suggest specific things you certainly want to see though!

>LP: Change the Glitsa to a Deep purple to compliment your eyes.

Haha, I suspected someone would suggest this, but it made me laugh nevertheless.
Sorry for the delay once again, I'll get to scripting the update right away.

text.png
>LP: Change the Glitsa to a Deep purple to compliment your eyes.
You change it to this. Much better than the previous... weird colour.

>LP: Check out the effects that can be added.
Apparently there's the following effects, all with different settings and other thingamajigs:
Electric Sheep, Fire, Fractal, Glitter, Glow, Pixelate, Spheres, Starfield, Vortex

>LP: Check out drop down menus.
Texture: Bubble, Flat, Foam, Noise, Rough, Slippery, Sticky, Wavy
Smell: Chocolate, Flowery, Grass, Neutral, Warm
Filling: Crunchy, Foam, Hard, Nothing, Sand, Soft

>LP: Waste the next few hours at the Entertainment section
You save your changes to the Glitsa and minize the program again.
After opening up Xenie, you're greeted with a library filled with games and vidoes.
There's the following categories available:
Games: Action, Adventure, Platformer, Puzzle, RPG, Shooter
Videos: Action, Agia Informations, Animation, Comedy, Documentary, Drama, History, Plays, Random

Before you do anything, you check out the other applications as well.
AgiaSRC immediately throws an error as you want to launch it: "Fatal Error: Main Frame required, Main Frame core connection refused! Are you
sure the Main Frame is accessible?"
Well that's a bummer.
AgIDEa launches, but only shows you a welcome screen with and an empty project list. You suppose you don't have access to any of the projects
or something. You close it again.
The Taxos Browser gives you an empty frame with a field labelled "Address" at the top. After a few seconds, a popup appears: "Agia
Main Frame connection failed, plase try again later."
Well dammit, what are you supposed to do with all this stuff if the Main Frame isn't working? A bit annoyed, you close Taxos again and give
YaAST a try.
After a tediously long splash screen that spammed the left side of your screen full with log blabbery of which you didn't understand anything,
It finally opens a window, which immediately is blocked again by a warning dialog:
"Startup log returned errors:

As you close the dialog, the screen suddenly turns red and a huge warning sign appears:
"Lockpick, you have been tasked with a class α+ emergency call.
Immediately move out to Control Room ψ and initiate the Reela startup sequence."

The bean bag lets go of you.
Confused as to what the heck just happened, you stagger back up to your feet and look around.
So apparently there's some destroyed sectors somewhere? Everything seems to look fine here and the only really damaged thing you've seen is
two partly collapsed rooms.
Either way, it looks like you won't be able to return to your research until you power up the Main Frame.

241.png
LP: What's going on now?
SY: You need to activate Reela.
LP: Who's or what's that? And why is it so important?
SY: Reela is the Agia MainFrame AI that controls all access to the main servers and basically handles pretty much everything in the facility. Without
her, almost nothing will run properly.
LP: Oh... well, we better get going then, eh?

>LP: Ask her if you new elevated status will allow you to assign yourself Sigma Space and/or permanently elevate your privileges.
LP: So the computer said something about having given me more privileges or something. Can I assign Sigma space now?
SY: No.
LP: Bummer. Are they at least permanent?
SY: Did you even read those logs? It said temporary. Which is probably just as long as it takes you to move your lazy ass over to the control room
and activate Reela.

>LP: Ask Syna for the directions to the Control Room
LP: Can you at least tell me where this control room is, without having to insult me all the time?
SY: No.
LP: Ugh, just... just tell me where it is.
SY: I already marked it on your map.

>LP don't forget to add glitsa to inventory.
You try to put it in, but it's too big. Too bad you can't change the properties of the bag at the moment either since the computer is
locked down.
Eh, maybe later.

LP: Hey, I have a better idea... Syna, take me to the control room!
SY: Hold on.

LP: Can't you go faster?
SY: Speed set to 150km/h.
LP: Wait, what nooAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

LP: Ouch! AAA Ouch ouch AAAA- Oh hey, I know this- Ouch - Sy-sy-sy-syyynaaaa, sto-o-o-p it!

245.png
SY: Destination reached.

That probably wasn't the best idea. Now you have bruises everywhere and you feel incredibly dizzy.

The remaining part of the update is coming out tomorrow.
I can't be assed to draw the last few panels at the moment I'm afraid.

Looking good shin, looking goo.

> LP: Be the engineer

Looks great!

I love how Lockpick looks in that first panel.

246.png
After a bit of recovery from the worse than unpleasant traveling, you realize that you're in the same hallway you've been before.
...The same hallway that could've been reached pretty quickly through the elevator and across the large room.
So she must've taken quite a large detour to get here.

247.gif
The door slides open as you stand in front of it and... oh.
OH!
OH NO!
OH FUCK NO!

These are... skeletons. Oouh gross. How did they... who... what? Noo... why...

248.gif
NO! YOU DON'T WANT TO LOOK AT THEM! IT'S TERRIFYING!
But you also can't take your eyes off them... Aaaah, WHY.

SY: Looks like someone was having a boner.

(Edit: The gif should be a huge lot faster. I don't know if it's just my browser, but in Photoshop it looked alright...)

249.png
SY: What?

You try your best to just ignore her.
Ok, so what are you gonna do about this mess?
You don't even want to look at it and.. hopy hell, it smells awful in here.
Why you only noticed that now is a mystery to you, but argh, it's so bad!
You get out of the room to catch some fresh air.

Don't they at least have a ventilation in there? It still smells like rotten flesh.
Ouh. Just. So. Nasty. Augh.

Alright, alright. So there's dead bodies... well, skeletons in there. How did they even die?
It's just all so terrible. You shake your head in disgust.
You need to activate the Main Frame though, but you have no idea how.
There's a lot of SWITCHES and LIGHTS in there, but you don't know which one to press and you don't think you can stand to be in there
for very long.
>_

Obviously there is only one thing to do
>LP flip all the switches and hit all the buttons.

>ask syna what species skeleton belonged to

> LP: Ask Syna for engineering advice

250.png
Oh yes you'd love that right now, but...
How are you supposed to get one?

>LP: flip all the switches and hit all the buttons.

That seems like a really bad idea considering your previous encounter with the principle.
You don't want to kill more people, not to mention that doing something wrong in here might probably kill you as well.

>LP: Ask syna what species skeleton belonged to

LP: Syna, this might seem odd, but... are (or were, rather) there any other species around in the labs?
SY: Yes.
LP: So, this isn't a pony head?
SY: I don't know. I don't have any analysis modules on me.
LP: Oh.

>LP: Ask Syna what will happen after you restart Reela

LP: So... what's even going to happen once this 'Reela' gets reactivated?
SY: The facility should receive full power again and start repair actions. Reela will then grant access to its Main Frame database again, while
taking control of all sub-sections acrross Agia.
LP: Or in other words, I'll finally be able to use the computer and find out what happened to Cecilia!
LP: And maybe even find a way out of here...

>LP: Wonder why Syna couldn't do this herself.

LP: But, uuh... Why couldn't you do this instead of me?
SY: Didn't you pay attention? Only you got access for this specific action.
LP: Well yes, but why didn't it assign it to some worker robot or something?
SY: Because it needs a unique verification by cell-imprint in order to be restarted.
LP: So basically, only living things can activate it?
SY: Are you implying that I'm not alive?
LP: Well, I mean you're... a robot and like... not made of flesh I guess, if that's a better definition.
LP: Anyway, do you have any idea what I have to do in there to re-activate Reela?
SY: No, I don't have access to the schematics.
SY: Have fun finding the right button!
LP: FF-

251.png
You risk another attempt at going in and try to ignore the smell as good as possible.
Further in the room you find two more skeletons lying on the floor. By Shira, what happened in here?
Couldn't they get out or something? But agh, you don't want to think about it.
As you look around a bit more, you notice on particular display that stands out on the control panel.
Surprinsingly enough, it is labeled "Reela status" and reads: "OFFLINE! Place authorization token into scanner as soon as
possible!"
There's a small slot underneath the display, just about the size of a hoof.

LP: Well, I guess it's worth a shot...

You shrug and put your left front hoof in. Surely enough, the display changes and shows:
"Authorizing.... Lockpick|υ8309301τ234α identified. Necessary permissions supported. Signaling KERN."

A display flickers into life and another log starts to fill up the white square:

Rest of the update comes later

252.png
And with that, chapter 2 finally ends!
It'll take some time for me to prepare chapter 3, so there'll probably be no update next week, although I'll see that I can provide at
least some artwork.

Also, yes, this looks like GLaDOS, I know.

If you're lucky, we'll have an update today!

253.png
Years back, but not few....

254.png
You are now Marcus. You are about to conduct a very exciting experiment that you and your colleagues have been preparing for years.
Hopefully, everything will go alright. Having yet another failure would be pretty unfortunate, especially since the money is getting low.
All preparations have been taken though and you are fairly sure that all your calculations are correct this time.
Well... you DID say the same the last 13 times as well, but this time it just HAS to work!
After all, you made sure to check everything three times and even asked some from the maths department for help.

255.png
You take a look at your notes.
Agh, this pile of papers is always such a mess to get out of the inventory.
Let's see here.
Gene sequences... Brainwave pattersn (how'd that typo get there?)... Composition calculations... Yadda yadda.
You probably could copy all these notes directly out of your head.
Still, taking a look at the emergent patterns from such simple compositions still amazes you every time.
It's a true beauty.
Of course, most of the stuff is on the server and you keep this mostly for quick notes.

256.png
You get distracted by the fancy graphs and completely skip over your wife.
After noticing that you're lost in one of your thoughts again, she leaves.

257.png
This is the hottest stuff in all Roha. Just looking at all this top-machinery makes you giddy.
That you have the privilege to work with this still baffles you.
All the top notch stuff in bio-computing... At your disposal!
Anyway, you better get started. You're sure your colleagues are at least as excited as you are and there's still a lot to do.

258.png
At the moment it's just you, Ralph and an intern.
After all, it is pretty early in the day and you stood up all night preparing.
Not everyone wants to be as sleep deprived as you.
Thinking about it, you are pretty tired.
Hm. You wonder where Sandra is. She said she'd be here by now.

Well then! What do you do?
>_

>>30132
Hit on the intern.

259.png
Hahahahaha, no, nono, you can't do that. You mean, for one, you're perfectly fine with one child already and on the other hand, test-tube
procreation is kinda boring.
You mean, it's been done so many times before, so it really isn't anything new. This project is so much more interesting.
Creating a new life form from scratch! And not just growing it naturally either!
Building an entire body and bringing it to life. This is just SO much more interesting than the silly natural way.
And today's the day it should finally work after all this time of tedious research and testing.
Oh boy, oh boy!

>Realise that you're actually very gay and don't love your wife in a romantic way.
Haha, your excitedness must be getting to your head today. You probably should cut back on the coffee as well.
Of course you love Sandra very much! She's one of the most beautiful and one of the smartest ponies around.
You are very happy to have her as your wife.

260.png
...

MA: Hey, did anyone put something in my coffee today?!
RA: Uh... no, why?
MA: I uhm- nevermind.
RA: ???

Gog, wtf are you thinking.

262.png
Well, the mark originally appeared when you played around with gyroscopes in your youth and analyzed the way they work...
You'd rather like to believe that your special talent is physics in general though.
If you want to get into Agia, you need to be fairly good in all fields anyway, so yeah.

You read in a book somewhere that this mark thing is a relict from older times, before the first scientific revolution, where it had more impact on a
persons life.
Although it's still sorta weird that this strange thing has evolved in the first place, it never seemed very useful or important to you. Who
knows, maybe they had bad identity issues in the past?
That doesn't really make much sense either, since the other species like Kambria and Humans don't have this thing and seem to be able to
get on fine.

Ah, what do you care, nowadays it really has very little significance on what you end up doing anyway.
You might as well have become an artist or something.
*snrk*
Pfffhahaha, an artist. Oh man, that'd be hilarious.
You never really understood artists, always moping about things as if they had a hard life.
Do they even /know/ what difficult is?

263.png
Alright! Time to get on with this!
You take out your glitsa, fire up AgiaSRC and get to work.

264.png
You are now this young filly here.
According to your calculations, today is the day your cutie mark should appear. Not like it's a big deal, but you're just curious what kind
of silly thing it is going to be.
Your mom left the apartment a few hours ago to go fetch your dad for lunch. You wonder when they'll come back.
If you remember right, daddy's having some sort of big day today. Something about a large experiment of sorts. He never really told you what it
was about though...
The only thing he ever mentioned was that you'll have someone to watch over soon. You wonder what that means.
Having someone new to play with sounds great though! You admit, you have been a bit lonely lately.
But anyway, what do you do?

text.png
Your mom and dad call you Cec or well, it sounds like Sess, but your real name (which you find quite beautiful) is Cecilia Leir.
It has a nice ring to it.

>CC: Burn house down.
You played with matches around when you were smaller, but no furniture ever even caught fire so you don't think you could burn down the
apartment.
Either way, you don't like messing with fire anyway, it can hurt you real easy.

>CC: Do some Artsy stuff to annoy your dad.
Oh you love to draw! Drawing is a lot of fun and you often make little things for your mom and dad.
You don't think daddy understands it very well though, but mom always likes them very much!
Thinking about it, you might do some drawing later on once you decided what to do with your day.

>CC: Be helpful, cook something.
You have often watched your mom cook, but you really have no clue how to do it. Plus, you're afraid you might burn something or cut yourself
with the knife.
Mom told you to stay away from those things anyway and you'd rather not get into trouble.
You really hope you'll learn to cook sometime though, you love eating good food and that instant stuff just is nowhere near good enough.

>CC: Think about unicorn friends.
A unicorn?.. Hmm. You haven't seen many unicorns around Agia and certainly no kids.
Sometimes you wonder if there's more unicorns on the surface, but you hardly ever get to go there since it's such a long way and dad hardly
ever takes a day off.
You aren't quite sure what unicorns are like though... Do they have a special kind of personality?
Pegasi and earth ponies seem to be no different, except for the wings, so you don't think that unicorns should be much different, but you never
know.
Something about that horn of theirs and the fact that there's hardly any around Agia makes you a bit uncomfortable though...

>CC: Picture what kind of a dashing hero wearing goggles and a scarf the new friend will be.
Goggles and a scarf...? That sounds like a rather odd combination.
It rather makes you thinkg of some kind of desert vagabond... hey that actually makes a quite cool picture in your head!
You're gonna keep that idea for later so you can draw it!

>CC: Recall what a Kambria is.
Oh, Kambria are those bird people. You really like how they look, some of them have really neat colours and their feathers are so nice.
It's amazing that such different species could evolve on this planet though. You guess they all evolved on different continents and never killed
each other off.
If you remember some of the history right that mom taught you, the Kambria were the first to cross the oceans and were the most developed until the
second scientific revolution.
Nowadays there is no difference in development anymore, since all the boundaries between the species have been lifted after the second revolution and
all three can live together now.
Which is really nice. You couldn't imagine a world where they had to fight Humans and Kambria... it'd be quite sad.
Too bad most Kambria keep their kids at home most of the time so the chance of meeting a kid Kambria to play with is quite slim and the Humans are in
another section of Agia...
Oh well.

>CC: While recalling stuff, recall what the major religion of the area is.
You've never really been interested in religion and your parents never talked about it, so you don't know quite what's around.
The only thing you know is that Shira is the goddess of one of the major religions of the past and is still used as a word due to cultural reasons...
or something like that.
Science made religion unnecessary though, so while it still exists to a small degree, it's mostly out of cultural or traditional reasons.

>CC: Be bored.
You already were kinda bored. No reason to become even more bored.

>CC: Fly around room.
The room is way too small to fly around in... you'd only hurt yourself by slamming into the walls and everything.
And probably smash something along the way.

>CC: Compose a song.
Mmmmh... nah. You don't think you have what it takes to compose songs.
All you can come up with is stupid stuff that makes no sense whatsoever and the melody in your head is boring as well.
Bah.

>CC: Open ALL the cupboards.
...Why? All there is in the cupboards are dishes and cutlery. Not particularly interesting.

>CC: Wish you had a brother you could play with. Because being an only filly is tough :C
Yeah, a bro or sis would definitely be nice. But you figure you'll do without one just fine as well.
Well... it WOULD be nice, sure, but you don't think it's gonna become possible any soon, so yeah.
Better not waste your time with the thought.

>CC: Gain ass mark and then bug your father about it and mess up his experiment on accident.
What?
No!
You don't want to ruin his experiment! That'd be horrible!

The usual update with panels and whatnot comes on Sunday. You can suggest more commands in the meantime if you want, but I'll continue the
story either way, so no worries.

265.png
Alright, anyway, you guess you could draw something.
You take the elevator to the living room and get your DRAWING BOARD and a couple of COLOURING PENCILS from the writing-and-drawing-stuff-drawer.
There's still some paper missing though, so you head over to the supplies room.

266.png
Eugh. This room always scares you a little before you turn on the lights. It's kinda spooky and you always have the eery thought that someone is
watching you.
You quickly flip the light switch and decide to take some regular, PLAIN WHITE PAPER.
Looking about the room, you remind yourself to tell mom to clean it out sometime. It's getting really dusty and messy in here.
With that much dust around, it might even become sentinent sometime!
Hahahaha... ha... haaa?
Frightened by your own imagination, you quickly leave the room again.

You suddenly remember that you haven't got your MUSIC PLAYER with you.
Listening to some nice relaxing music while drawing is something you enjoy immensely.
So, without any further delays, you head off to the bedroom.

267.png
Even though you love your SECRET BEDROOM that your parents installed for you, it's sometimes pretty annoying to get to it.
You wish you had one of these handy ς-SPACE ASSIGNMENT MODULEs, that would allow you to move the entrance point and region to your bedroom.
Too bad they're very restrictive about the use of these things.
Although you've heard that there's been some nasty accidents in the test phases, so you guess it's better if they don't fall into
the wrong hands.
Not that you wouldn't treat it with caution of course! You are quite sure that you could handle it just fine.

Either way, you hop onto the bed and climb into the painting.

Continuity note: I did mention the painting in the text part of the update when we first visited this room, but forgot to draw it in one of the
succeeding panels.

268.png
Thinking about it, you have no realy clue about how these ς-Spaces work anyway. It actually seems rather weird that you can just make... virtual
rooms.
Do these rooms exist somewhere in the universe or are they a purely digital representation? Because if it's the latter then what the hell
happens to your real body once you switch?
Does it simply cease to exist or is it... converted somehow? That leads you to the thought that the reality you have might not even be real either
and just a- nooo nononono, that's stupid.
What is this, the matrix? No, it's not, so shove off, stupid thought. You even remember that they explained some things about it to you in
kindergarden.
One of the things was that it is scientifically proven and historically documented that the reality is actually real and ς-Spaces are an artificial
expansion to the real world.
In fact, ς-Space-Technology has only existed for about 40 years, so it is quite a novelity for such an ancient civilization as yours.
Still, you should maybe look up some more things about it.
You are a bit afraid of very technical stuff, mostly because you don't understand it, so you hope you can find something you can read as well
and not just the geniuses working here.
Or maybe you should ask your dad sometime.... You aren't quite sure if he's going to give you a useful answer though.

You shake your head to get rid of the idle thoughts and focus on finding your music player.
Sure enough, it was in the spot you searched for last, which is to say somewhere in between the bedsheets.

I'm sorry that I didn't draw the whole room, but this update already ate way too much of my time.

269.png
Looking about, you decide that this room is too much of a mess to leave behind like that and start to tidy it up a little.
After all, you don't want it to start to smell. With everything properly in place, you open the window to let some fresh air in.
As you look out of the window, you always get fascinated by the seemingly endless blue surrounding you. It's almost as if this room was floating
in the sky somehow.
It just makes you wonder even more though: is everything outside your window part of the ς-Space of your room, is it a separate space or is it the
reality again?
Whatever the case may be, it's truly fascinating what you can do with these extensions. The green fields space in the living room is a very good
example of that.
Too bad your mom turned it off a while ago. It's really nice to lie in the grass and have the warm lightrays from the two suns shining on your
face.
The fields even have seasons. The tree grows some apples in summer, there's snow in winter and in spring nice little flowers blossom
everywhere.
You suppose this is what life on the surface might be like.
Well, on the surface surface. Chehra isn't really on the surface from what you've heard, although from the times you've been there, it
always seemed like it to you.
Too bad you could never visit the real surface... you sure hope you can do that sometime in the future.

Aaaaaahh! You got lost in thoughts again! If this goes on, you'll never get to draw anything!
You quickly close the window, exit your room and return to the living room.

text.png
Hmm, it looks like mom and dad still haven't returned. What the heck are they up to?
You guess you could draw for a while here, but it's just so empty without anyone around.
Maybe you should go looking for them?
You aren't quite sure if they'd appreciate it if you suddenly turned up in the middle of something though.
Otherwise, you guess you could go to the Lobby or the Caffeteria and see if anyone's there at the moment.
Snooping around the labs and seeing what the science men are up to would surely be interesting as well.
Bah.
What the heck should you do?

271.png
Alrighty, you get to the table and start creating your next masterpiece while listening to Enya.

272.png
There, done!
You don't really know where to put it though, since there's nothing "in plain view of the door".
You guess you could put it on the wall opposite to the elevator door, but that's a bit far away.
Thinking about it, you might just hand it over to them personally, so you simply take it with you.

273.png
Ooooh! Yes! That's a good idea! You love Bob Ross' show.
However, you'd have to go to the caffeteria or the lobby to watch it since you don't have a TV here and dad took his laptop to work.
You wonder why there's no direct terminal access in the living quarters.
You think you remember mom saying something about this being a closed, separated system or something. Whatever that means.

>CC: Snoop the labs
You don't have the permissions to enter the lab areas, only to leave them once you're in.
Mom or Dad would have to take you with them and since they aren't here at the moment, no dice.
However, you do wonder what kind of exerpiments Agia is conducting. There's a lot of secrecy around the facility.
Many things are only public to a selected few people, not even the president has access to most of the experiments running.
You suppose that's a good thing though, since knowing too much might also open up for corruption, or so your dad told you.
It's still a bit worrying that there's a need for such secrecy, since it would imply that these experiments aren't necessarily
good...
Either way, it's none of your business.

274.png
That sounds more like an idea! You head over to the lobby and look for your friends.
However, you can only find a few scientists reading the newspaper or working on things.
Oh well. You take out your Glitsa (Children's Edition) and hook it up to the nearest terminal.
Checking the time, it's still very early in the morning, so that probably explains why almost no one is here.
Either way, you came here to watch Bob Ross, so that's what you'll do.
You browse your media library for new episodes, but sadly there's nothing new. Ah well, a past episode will do too you guess.

275.png
Boy, you wish you could paint as well as he can... oh and that you could have a canvas and oil paint in the first place.
Apparently you can only buy that stuff on the surface, it's really too bad...
Still, listening to Bob's soothing voice is very nice regardless.

Your dad isn't with her though. You wonder where he is, they usually go to eat together.

Sorry for the short updates lately. I'm having some troubles with advancing the plot and can't spend much time thinking about it
I'm afraid. I hope I can clear this problem up soon. Until then, more suggestions might help me find a good way.

>bob ross: break 4th wall and chase the pony you painted

> CC: Follow mother with your best stealth mode active

279.gif
Hiding behind the various glitsa, you slowly make your way towards the caffeteria.
Subject 2349 won't have a chance of noticing you!
The chattering coming from the caffeteria should give you additional cover so you won't be heard.

280.png
As you try to quietly enter the caffeteria, the door suddenly slides open and subject 2349 turns around.
You quickly dodge out of sight behind the pot next to the entrance.
That was a close call.

After a while, your target turns around again. Time for you to advance.
You take a look at your surroundings and dash for the next hiding spot.
During your run, the ground suddenly starts to shake and sends you falling to the floor.
The whole caffeteria rumbles and all the chattering immediately dies off.

281.png
Aside from your cover being blown in an instant, what the hell was that?
You walk over to your mom.

CC: ...Mom... what was that?
SA: I don't know.- I'm sure it's nothing to worry about though!
CC: If you say so... Do you know where dad is? Doesn't he usually come to eat with you?
SA: Well I was trying to invite him over, but he was lost in thoughts again. He's probably still working hard on the preparations for the
experiment.
CC: Is there really no way for me to watch it happening?
SA: I'm afraid not, my dear. Not even I am allowed to be there during the conduction.
CC: Aaaawww. Can we at least watch it over video or something?
SA: Hmm. Well, I'm not sure if they're going to allow to take recordings out of the lab. If the experiment does succeed, I'm sure
it'll be in the news soon enough though!
CC: But the press always takes so looong! I want to see it now...
SA: A little patience, honey. You'll definitely hear from your dad about it, so you'll just have to wait for some videos to pop up in the
news.
CC: *grumble* Fiiiine.

You both stand in line for the food.

SA: So, what have you been up to this morning then?
CC: Well, at first I was really bored and didn't know what to do, but then I decided to go drawing for a bit,
but the flat was so empty so I thought I'd go to the lobby and first wanted to watch some Bob Ross,
but then something really weird happened and he stared at me and I got scared
and then I noticed you and thought I could go eat something with you if dad wasn't here and then that weird earthquake happened
and that's pretty much all I did since I got up.
SA: Ah, the Bob Ross video was probably the one your dad modified. It's actually a program that inserts a rendered picture of whoever is
watching it and adds that together with a clip of Bob Ross painting onto the camera.
CC: Ooooh! Hmm, I'll have to get him back for that.
SA: Haha, that'll have to wait until he gets back. Oh, I'd like a fruit salad please.
CC: I'll uuuh... I'll take the same! That just gives me time to prepare. I need a good idea first though...

The two of you take your food plates and search for a nice place to sit.

SA: Did you know that in earlier times the food was handed out by people and there were cashiers at the end of the line where you had to pay directly
for what you ordered?
CC: No... it seems kind of inefficient though.
SA: Well, there was nothing else available. Not everyone was identified and registered, so they had to rely on direct payment. The people also
didn't trust robots and preferred to see someone hand them the food.
So they had people stand behind the counter, simply to hand out the food. That existed for a long time, even though technology would've been
ready to replace it.
CC: Odd. Why wouldn't you trust a robot? As far as I know they're often more trustworthy than real people...
SA: I suppose society just wasn't ready to accept that yet around that time... How about over there?

282.png
You sit down and start to eat.

SA: So, how's your cutie mark coming along? Still nothing?
CC: Not as far as I know... I haven't really tried anything yet though.
SA: I didn't either when I got mine. I remember that I was doing math homework at the time and only noticed the next day, haha.
CC: Bluh... now you reminded me of school tomorrow.
SA: Aw, come on. It can't be that bad. I mean, you have some friends there, right? Don't you want to see them again?
CC: Well, yeah... but I could see them any other day as well and what we're currently doing in class is kinda boring.
SA: Believe me, later you'll be happy to have learned this stuff. I certainly am! Even things that are boring can be very useful.
CC: I'd rather have them be useful now.
CC: ...
CC: Mom? Hello?
SA: I- uh- sorry, what did you say, darling?

You look at her confused while poking around your plate of food.

CC: I said that I'd rather have the things I learn at school be useful right now.
SA: The time will come soon enough. You have to have some patience until then.
SA: Come on, let's go. You don't seem to be eating any more of that anyway.
CC: But I like sitting here... it's nice.
SA: ...

283.png
You are now Sandra.
Just a few seconds ago you got the seismic test results back and took a look at them through your glasses.
It looks like the earth quake from before didn't actually get caused by anything natural.
Furthermore, it was strong enough to disrupt some of the lower strata and the earthquake warning is on high alert now.
Why hasn't there been any announcement about this? It could get really dangerous soon if the situation keeps on developing as is.
You are really concerned right now, another earthquake might hit any second and it'll definitely be stronger than the last one.
Shouldn't the security system automatically send out broadcasts about things like this? What the hell is going on?
>_

> Put the fruid sallad into your inventory

>close thing and excuse yourself to check on that statis of whatever went on and check in on the labs to see if any damage has been done

284.png
Nah.

>SA: Go on shooting spree over inadequate earthquake alert system
Well, the earthquake alert system works fine... for some reason Agia didn't give a general broadcast about it though.
This most likely means that there's someone else stopping them from making this announcement, which just brings up more and more questions.
It just sounds very fishy, as if someone was trying to-

"*beep* To all Chehra citizens and Agia inhabitants:
Increased volcanic activity has been detected in the lower crust. One of the magma streams has unexpectedly changed direction, which caused the
tremors.
There is no reason to be disturbed, the situation should stabilize itself again soon. Further information about the incident can be retrieved over
the news network.
If anything else happens, we will update you with more information and potential safety instructions.
Agiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-a-—-a-aaaaa--*noise* *beep*"

Hm. This announcement was unusually late and that ending didn't sound very good.
You are getting more and more worried by the second. What-

CC: Mom, what's going on? Are we in danger?
SA: Uh... n-no, not at all, sweetheart. I'm sure they'll get everything fixed again, don't worry.
CC: Are you sure? This broadcast sounded a bit weird...
SA: Yeah... look, I'll-I'll just check on your dad and the news network real quick and then we'll see that we can get to some place
safe, just to be sure.
CC: ...

>SA: Read email (assuming that wasn't the alert you're already looking at)

"Hey!
Just a quick update on what's going on over here.
I'm not sure if you noticed the tremor just a few minutes ago, but apparently it made one of the fusion reactors unstable and we had to abort
the preparation.
We're waiting for another power source connection right now, hopefully we can finally start the experiment in an hour or two.
Anyway, in case something else happens, I'll message you and head over to the gene station α so you can meet me there.

Love, Marcus"

Huh, so the tremors must have been quite a lot stronger if they could de-stabilize a reactor.

285.gif
Suddenly, the floor starts to shake once more, but this time a lot harder than before.
The bowls slide from the table and fall to the ground and the light starts to flicker.
For a second, everything is quiet and dark, you can only feel the earth shivering, giving you trouble to stay put on your seat.
With a very concerning, screeching sound, followed by a loud bang, a small crack forms in the ceiling and dust falls down through it.
The crack is completely black and it seems as if it could swallow you up any moment. Everything else gets silenced by its terrifying appearance.
You rip your eyes away from it and try to focus your thoughts onto something else.
The tremors have stopped in the meantime and people are running around in panic.

286.png
You'd rather bring her to some place safe. It looks like the ceiling could come crashing down any moment now, oh Shira.
Just then, the light turns to a soft red and bright blue guiding lights form a line along the floor.

"Reela security protocol #1α2 initiated.
Agia is under temporary lockdown. Please follow the lights to your appropriate safe-keeping cell.
Further instructions will be given once you reach your destination.
Don't panic and keep calm at all times to reduce chaos and ensure a safe evacuation."

Wait, did you hear that correctly? Agia is under lockdown and you have to go to the cryogenic cells?!
What in the world could be bad enough to enforce such extreme measurements? What if this has something to do with Marcus' experiment?
Oh god, is he alright? What the hell are you supposed to do? Go check on him? But you should also go get Cecilia to safety and Reela even instructed
to go into cryostasis..
And what about everyone else? There's quite some commotion around you, some people are running around, others have a terrified look on their
face and don't move at all, it looks like they are in shock.
Ok, ok.
You need to calm down and put a plan together.
>_

287.png
This situation is really getting to your head.

>Keep calm and carry on
Yeah, that's a better idea. You take a few deep breaths to calm yourself down.

>Quick, Jump on table and get everyones attention, calmly prompt them to follow the standard safty procedures and head towards their designated
evactuation points.
No, you don't want to make a fool out of yourself... You'd look quite silly for doing such a thing. Besides, you doubt you could bring up
the courage to actually pose as a leader.
You rather leave it to the current system that's in place. You are quite sure the situation will settle itself soon enough. After all, they
must've prepared for such a thing.
Right?

>Once they are moving, find pony you know well and send CC with them, then try to find Marcus to make sure he is safe and not ignoring the
warnings.
You do think it's a smart idea to go check on Marcus while someone else takes care of Cecilia though. Hmm, whom to give her to though...
You don't want to give her to anyone untrustworthy.

288.png
Oh, it seems like the firey-red Kambria in the lobby has decided to instruct people. He certainly seems to have more courage than you do!
Unsure who else to turn to, you decide to trust your instincts and the fact that you remember the Kambria to be very good with kids, and approach
him.

SA: Uuuh, hello, sir?
K?: Yes, ma'am, how can I help you?
SA: Well, I wanted to check on my husband, we decided on a meeting point, but I don't think it'd be smart to take my daughter with me.
SA: Could you, uh, could you look after her and bring her to the right cell for me? That'd be really nice of you.
K?: Oh, sure! So, what's your name, little filly?
CC: Eeeh, uuh, I'm Cecilia...
K?: Heya there, Cecilia! My name's Ron. Your mom's gonna look for your daddy real quick and I'll keep you safe in the meantime, ok?
CC: I- I guess.
SA: It's gonna be alright, darling. I'll be back, I promise.
CC: ...
RO: Alright then, good luck, miss...?
SA: Leir, Sandra Leir. Thank you again for looking after her. I'll try to be back as fast as I can.
RO: Well then, off you go!

You turn around and gallop towards secion α.

289.png
You are now the little filly daughter again. You are not quite sure what to think, feel or do right now.
Your mom just left and handed you over to some stranger Kambria. He seems a nice enough fella, but you still feel weird around him.
Especially with your mom just running away from you... You have the strongest urge to follow her and keep throwing quick glances in the direction she
went.

RO: Cecilia?... Cecilia!
CC: HUH?! I- uh! What is it?
RO: I think it's time to head over to the pod. And don't worry about your mom, I'm sure she'll be alright.
CC: I hope so...
RO: Aw, come, I'll carry you. We have some good safety measurements around here, there's nothing to be afraid of.

Ron picks you up and carries you over to one of the many pods waiting at the transit station.
His feathers are soft and you feel very comfortable all of a sudden. You manage to forget about your worries for a bit.
Ron starts to sing softly, in a language you can't understand... you don't even know if it is a language, but it sounds very nice.

"Aarea si no chehraho, oh labado ereleta...

You slowly close your eyes and doze off.

Update coming out tomorrow today.
It'll be 11 panels long, so hold on to your socks.

292.png
You start dreaming about the surface...
Green fields with a couple of hills and white mountains in the distance. A nice breeze blowing through your mane...
There's a large tree on one hill, with a nice, soft shadow underneath it. Everything is peaceful and quiet.

293.png
You head over to the tree and see your parents lying underneath it, apparently sleeping.
You decide to lie down beside them and stare at the cotton white clouds for a while.
Over time, you are growing a bit sleepy and close your eyes.
A warm sunray is shining on your face. You feel very comfortable.

294.png
You are now Sandra again.

>Search for your husband
You arrive at section α, but you can't find your husband anywhere. All the machinery has already been closed away and there is complete silence
in the room.
The soft, red light and the glaring emptiness of the room creep you out.

SA: Marcus? Are you here? Marcus!

The earth suddenly trembles and sends you flying to the floor, as the sound of an explosion crushes on your eardrums.

295.png
A thick dustcloud appears from one of the entrances and the light starts to flicker.
After a while, the tinnitus from the explosion subsides and you can finally hear again.
You can make out a deep rumbling in the distance. It is getting louder and whatever is causing it is getting closer at an alarmingly fast rate.

296.png
You wake up and find yourself sitting in a weird cell-like room. There's some contraptions at the back of it and a control panel to the right.
The light that's being emitted from the cell is a soft blue and you like it a lot better than the disconcerting red from before.
You notice Ron standing outside, staring down the hallway with a concerned look on his face.

297.png
Ron turns around and looks at you, staying silent for a moment.

RO: You're awake huh... *sigh* alright... look, there's something strange going on.
CC: ...
RO: I don't quite know what, but I don't think withholding the truth from you much longer is going to do anyone any good.
RO: Cecilia, do you know what cryogenic sleep means?
CC: ... well, it means we're basically suspended for some time... just like a sleep during which we don't age.
RO: Yes, I suppose that's about it. What do you think could account for such a drastic action?
CC: I... I don't know. They said it's just for safety measurements?
RO: *sigh* I wish it were that simple. Safety measurements usually include simply sealing of certain parts of the facility. Or in emergencies,
evacuate to bunkers.
RO: The cryogenic sleep is the ultimate, final solution. I have no idea who authorized this, why or how, but I do not like this a single bit.

You start getting really worried and want to go see your mom.

298.png
CC: I- I want to- Where's my mom? Is she here yet? I want her to be here!
RO: Look, calm down, there's nothing that can harm you here. These cells are 100% sec-
CC: I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT MY MOM!

Burning hot tears start rolling down your cheeks.

RO: *whispers to himself* Oh jeez, what have I done...
CC: *sob*
RO: Cecilia.
CC: *snif* y-yes?
RO: I need you to concentrate. Close your eyes and concentrate on what you dreamt about.

You close your eyes and try to remember your dream, but it's hard and you keep on shaking.

RO: Keep your eyes closed and keep on concentrating on this. You can do it.
RO: If you can return to your dream world, I will promise that everything will turn out just fine.
RO: You'll be back with your mom and dad... enjoying your time together... Area si no chehraho~

You manage to fall back into your dream world, but everything looks tainted and odd...

299.png
That doesn't last long though, as you open your eyes again.
The first thing you notice is that you are unable to move.
Your legs are strapped to the wall and a glass dome has been shut down in front of you.
Ron is standing outside, shouting something inaudible in one direction.

Suddenly a loud, but damped boom shakes the cell and sends Ron flying to the ground.
He appears to be cursing. You try calling him, but he doesn't seem to hear you.

300.png
You try to free yourself from the straps and start screaming.
Ron suddenly turns towards what appears to be a control panel by the side of your cell.
He has an incredibly frightened expression on his face and keeps glancing down the hallway.
Out of nowhere, a second explosion happens, this time even stronger than the last one.

As if in slow motion, Ron turns around and starts running over to the cell besides you.
Everything is getting brighter and brighter, until all you see is a glaring white.
The cell shakes again.

You pass out.

I2-end.png
[END OF INTERMISSION 2]

301.png
You slowly wake up from what seems to have been years of slumber.
Shreds from your dreams still dance around before your eyes like little flames, lighting up the darkness.
Your head hurts and you have trouble getting up. The floor is flat, hard and cold.
As you open your eyes, it seems as if they were still closed. All you can see is black.

302.png
The dream was mostly some childhood memories... Your dad and your mom talked to you about various things, but you can't remember anymore what
they were saying.
It's all very blurred.

303.png
You are Cecilia Leir. You were born in 1α0β. You don't know how old you are, but you guess you must be somewhere from 14 to 1ε.
Your parents are Sandra and Marcus Leir. You have no idea where they are though and have no memory of having met them in a very long time.
As far as you can remember, you live at the Agia labs in the Biology department.
You can't categorize this place at all though. You aren't even sure if you exist at all, given that this doesn't seem very much like a
real place.
